Kickoff Event
January 30, 2025
Students, faculty, and our Apple partners came together to celebrate the grand opening of the Sandbox Lab at UIC! Attendees explored hands-on activities with iOS coding, GarageBand, Apple Pencils, augmented reality software, and the Apple Vision Pro.

Spatial Computing Workshop Series
April 7-8, 2025
We hosted over 30 Chicagoland learning professionals to explore spatial computing concepts using Spline's creative 3D modeling applications. Subject matter expert, Paul Hamilton, and Curriculum Co-lead, Dan Yao, piloted programming for summer 2025.

With 43% of Sandbox participants belonging to the Latinx community, we hosted a group of Latinx students that utilized the Challenge-Based Learning framework to explore emergent issues within the UIC Latinx community.
